Team,
I think our first practice went well overall. The kids responded well and appeared to enjoy their surroundings.
There are a few things we'd like address as we approach our 2nd practice along with providing you a few updates...
- Arrival - Please have your child at the arena 30 minutes before practices and 45 minutes before games.
- Getting Ready - We encourage the kids to get dressed as much as they can by themselves, so please work on this at home with them. :)
- Absence - If you cannot attend a practice or game, please let Molly or I know in advance.
- Discipline - We want this to be a positive experience for the kids, but we also realize that we need to set the standard from the outset - we will not tolerate any horsing around on the ice. When the whistle goes, it means no pucks. Also, we don't want kids firing pucks off the boards while in line for a drill. We will reiterate this before next practice and review how we will address horseplay but if you could give your child a heads up it would be appreciated.
- Forms - Please remember to provide your Medical forms to Coach Ken and signed Pledges to Manager Molly. :)
- 1st Game - We are working diligently to find an opponent for Oct. 31. Stay tuned. Once finalized we will update the website.
