A Great end to a Great season. Blue was a
formidable opponent but we were fortunate enough to come out on top. It was nice
to bring home the hardware, but more importantly, it was great to see the Team
come together when the Championship was on the line and see all of the smiling
faces in the dressing room...
...some of which were because we won, and some just because they were a part of something that was bigger than them as individuals. The whole (or Team as the case may be) is greater than the sum of its parts. :)
We had a lot of talent on our Team, but it's when we came together
AS a Team, that we became successful. Great contribution and effort from all today, including another (back 2 back) strong display by our Tender A. Salmon.
All in all, we the Coaching Staff regard the season as both successful and positive, and we hope you and the players feel the same. We enjoyed watching the kids grow as players and personally, form friendships, and we hope that your kids continue to enjoy the game no matter what level the play at - they're a great group and it was a pleasure coaching them.
We'd like to thank you for dedicating your time, and ensuring your kids attended as many games and practices as they did - this was a big factor in our success.
It was a fun post-game celebration today, albeit brief, and the kids appeared to like the comradery.
