Well Played Disciplined Game!
Today we played a very good game with the players staying in their positions, advancing the puck up the ice and pressuring the Blue goalie.  It was a nail biter at 2-1, however our kids kept going at Blue, played very well defensively and with great goal tending from Josh we were able to win our first game in the series.  Well done to all.  Our defense of Spencer, Spaghetti, Dalton and Matt really held the blue line well, passed the puck to the forwards and cleared the puck in front of our net. Offensively we did not score a lot today however we had a lot of shots on the Blue goalie.  All three lines had a lot of opportunities.  The low score was not from lack of effort. Goals by Spaghetti from the point and Nate was enough to give us the win!

Other notes:

Sunday practice is at 8:30 [Rink A, with Josh in net]

Next Saturday game is at 8:30 [Rink A against Blue with Josh in net]

Red Wings vs. Canucks! - Denis Dupuis [Dalton's number one fan and Dad] wanted to let us know that anyone interested in seeing the game on March 23rd at 7:30 should contact him at [email protected].  If you are interested in purchasing tickets they are $30 US each in section 201 and include 1 hot dog and one pop.  This certainly will be a great game with two of the top teams from the West battling it out.

I still have to arrange a pizza party for the kids following one of our games.  I expect it will be in March.  I will try and find a room in the new arena where we can kick back, have some pizza and snacks!

Keep the kids on the ice as much as possible, we have seen some real improvement in their skating and want them to continue working hard with their skating skills.  Summer hockey schedules should be out soon and I recommend you keep them going in the summer to give them a good start for next year.

Good game today team,

Coach Bob
