A Strong Game against Maroon
With both teams down some players, the kids had a lot of ice time playing 5 on 5 and 4 on 4. With Cam leading the way in net we played real strong defense and came out ahead 7-4. Cam stopped a lot of Maroon shots helping us keep the hard shooting Maroon from gaining any momentum. Good job Cam! Our defense of Spencer, Josh, Matt and Dalton also were offensive minded with Spencer getting a nice goal and Dalton and Matt each getting an assist. Very balanced play by all four! Offensively we had three forwards each scoring two goals. It was great to see Ty net two plus an assist, Adam get two including one shot from the circle when he was on his way down to the ice, and the always dependable Max with two goals and two assists. Great job, Ty, Max and Adam!
The rest of the team played strong as well, including Nate and Brendan who were loaned to the Maroon to balance out the numbers. Nate scored three for Maroon and Brendan played some great defense. Very good boys!
Other notes:
There is no game or practice the weekend of March 5th and 6th.
Our next playoff game is at 7:30 a.m. on March 12th against Blue [Josh in net; Rink A]. [The game was originally scheduled for 8:30 but moved to 7:30 in case there is a tie and shoot-out!]
