A tough loss, but a great effort!
We fell short today with a great team effort, losing in a shoot-out. With two minutes to go in the game and a two goal lead, we let up and Blue scored two quick goals to tie the game. A very strong effort again by Josh in net, strong defense and strong offense allowed us to have the game in our hands and then it slipped away! Although disappointing the kids played real well, skated very hard and deserved a better fate. Our hats off to a very strong Blue team, who kept the pressure on and snatched the win. Keep your chins up as you all played hard and put in a heck of a team effort!
Our goal scorers today were Nathan and Jacob. Both played well offensively and deserve a pat on the back. All three lines were strong today and our defense stood tall at the blue line. We had a lot of opportunities, spent a lot of time in the Blue zone and had numerous shots. In our own end Josh was very strong again, and defensively we did not give the high powered blue shooters many chances. A lot of the game was played between the blue lines with both teams attacking the puck. As a fan it was very exciting to watch, with few whistles and very fast play. Overall a strong effort.

Sunday practice is at 10:30 [Rink A with Josh in net]. Remember to set your clocks forward an hour tonight!
Next Saturday our game is at 11:30 against Orange [Rink A - Josh in net]
The final weekend of hockey is March 26th and 27th. We will be playing a game each day against Orange. I do not know the times yet.
