"Hovering Around the .500 Mark"
5W - 6L - 3T
After a Season opening loss at the end of September to Lasalle, we bounced back to string a couple of wins together, one of which was against a strong Belle River team, then followed by a Tie with Essex heading to our first Tournament in St. Thomas...
There we opened with a 3-0 Loss to the Home Team in a decent effort. We would get stronger as the tournament went on, and ended up losing 1-0 in the Semi-Finals in a hard fought battle with Orillia, who would go on to win the tourney 7-3 over Sarnia.
Returning home we went 1-0-1 with a Home-and-Home series against Erie, and the boys continued to battle in attempt to find their way. Our next (2) games against Essex and Kent ended up in the Loss column, and with the realization that Goal production is of concern (we had only scored 1 goal in each game), the Staff looked to shake things up. The juggling provided a spark and though we lost our next (2) games against Kent and Windsor (2 of the leagues Top teams) 2-1 and 3-2 respectively, you could see the Team identity taking shape and the players beginning to buy into the System.
