UPDATED Vaccination Requirements
Submitted By Webmaster on Wednesday, September 29, 2021
Amherstburg Minor Hockey continues to monitor the local and provincial guidelines to ensure that all recommendations are being followed, and that we are being as safe as possible with the programming being offered.

As of an update (Version 1) issued September 14, 2021, the province of Ontario has set out guidelines requiring that any/all spectators, 12 years or older, are required to be double-vaccinated as of September 22nd, 2021.

UPDATE: Any exemptions previously permitted under the provincial guidelines have been replaced by the latest Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) mandate, issued Monday, September 27th, 2021. This mandate requires all attendees 12 years or older, regardless of the purpose of their visit (spectator, player, volunteer, other) be fully vaccinated (including the 14-day waiting period after the 2nd dose) by October 1st, 2021.

Based on the more stringent requirements outlined by the WECHU, the Libro Centre will be required to enforce these policies as of October 1st, 2021. We ask all parents with children 12 years or older to ensure their child is fully vaccinated (including the 14-day waiting period after the 2nd dose) prior to October 1st, 2021 to avoid any affect on their ability to play hockey this coming season.

We will continue provide updates as they become available.

Respectfully,

Amherstburg Minor Hockey Association - Board of Executives
