Organization - FALL 2020 SEASON STATUS
Submitted By AMHA webmaster on Thursday, November 26, 2020
Parents, We regret to inform you that the AMHA Board of Executives has made the difficult decision to cease all hockey operations for the Fall 2020 Season, as of Sunday, November 29th at 11:59pm.

A Winter 2021 Season is still being considered with a hopeful start date some time in the New Year.

The municipalities and associations have been working closely with the Windsor Essex County Public Health Unit to monitor the situation, and are being informed that the transition to RED is imminent.
Due to the increased risk to our players, we have decided to take the safest approach. We are also able to avoid a large financial risk by shutting down on Sunday.
Pro-rated refunds will be issued to all members for any unused ice time in the month of December. However, please understand that this process will take some time to complete.
Please keep in mind that this decision was not made lightly, and we feel that we are doing what is in the best interest of both the players and of the association.
The details of a potential Winter 2021 Season are still being finalized, and will depend greatly on the direction provided by the local Public Health Unit.  Please continue to check back to the AMHA website for further updates on any upcoming Winter 2021 Season announcements.

The AMHA wants to ensure your child has an enjoyable experience playing hockey.  A big component of this experience is their safety.  We, the AMHA believe that concussions and concussion management are very serious and important matters.
