Notes
The Amherstburg Stars came up empty handed going down 3-0 before finally getting on the board late in the second period when Burns scored assisted by Wismer at 2:13. Just over a minute later Bastien hit the mesh assisted by Damico and Holden to end the second period at 3-2. The third period saw the 97's tie up the game on a shorthanded unassisted goal by Damico at 13:14, followed by another shorthanded shot when Burns got his second of the night and the go ahead goal assisted by Bastien. The Stars held onto the narrow lead until later in the third when the Eagles managed to tie the game back up. The game ended in a knot at 4-4.
