Notes
The Amherstburg Bantam Minor's brought a hard played game to the Vollmer on Monday night and left the Sabres once again winless against the 97's this season. The Stars came out fast and determined to control the play and after a hard push at the end of the first the 97's lit up the lamp with 1:39 remaining in the period after Meloche found the net assisted by Bastien. The second period continued with a back and forth battle with many scoring opportunities from the 97's highlighted by the loud ping of metal as Burns hit the post nearly putting the Stars ahead in the closing moments of the frame. The third period was anchored by the 97's defensemen holding off a flurry of offense from the Sabres including a highlight reel breakaway save by Werner keeping Lasalle scoreless. As the game neared the end the Stars found themselves one man down and then two, which lead to the game being tied up by the Sabres with five minutes left to play. The Stars dominating offense created a flurry of near chances at the end of the game including a goal crease opportunity with 2 seconds left but the game would end there.
Final Score 1-1
