Notes
The 97 Stars were defeated in their first of a two game weekend series against the Riverside Rangers. The Stars playing on home ice managed to get within a goal of the Rangers in the second period when #8 Holden scored an unassisted goal to narrow the score to 2-1. Werner played hard through the first two periods and the game headed into the intermission with Riverside up by a score of 4-1. The third period found the Star's giving Werner a much deserved break by putting #33 Langlois in net for his first appearance as a 97 Star. The 97's continued to battle back with a goal by #7 Bastien assisted by #8 Holden and #9 Burns. The final tally by the Stars on this night would be the third goal (and his third point) scored once again by #8 Holden off assists from #9 Burns and #25 Damico. In the end three goals would not be enough in this contest, and the Star's were outscored 7-3. The teams would rematch the following night again, at the WFCU this time. GO STARS !!!
