Notes
The 97 Star's came up just short in their last matchup with Lasalle this season by a score of 3-1. The Star's had many bright moments including several big saves by Amherstburg's own Werner including a lone Sabres shot from five feet in front of the net which was denied. The Star's played hard but the pucks were not finding the mesh, unlike Lasalle who had the good bounces with some powerplay goals and a couple of deflections which allowed them to keep the lead throughout the contest. As the second period dwindled #8 Holden scored the only Star's goal on a breakaway in which he stormed the net, got the goalie out of place and then slid the goal home. The Star's were helped along by the defence, including #5 Pardo, who broke up a couple of odd man rush's by Lasalle in his first game back. The Star's will now prepare for 3 straight games this weekend to close out the season.
GO STARS !!!
