The Midget Minor regular season closed out on Saturday night with a loss against the Riverside Rangers.  As always these two well matched teams who sit at first and second in their divisions played to a low scoring result of 0-1.  The main highlight of the game for the Star's would be goaltending as Wes Werner faced nearly 50 shots, and allowed only one in, after a melee of players crashed his crease early in the second period.  This would be the games lone goal but enough for Riverside to take the win.  The Midget Minor Star's now prepare for next weekends OMHA playdown series to begin.  It appears the Star's will face Erie in the first game of the weekend series.  Go Star's !!
