Notes
Saturday night found the Midget Minor's facing the Riverside Rangers at the UCCU in their second playdown game of the weekend. Riverside took advantage of an early power play, scoring to the lead. Then late in the first, penalties would once again haunt the Star's as they gave up two more powerplay goals in the final minute. Early in the second the Rangers again scored, followed by yet another powerplay goal later in the period. As the second period ended Riverside's goal was answered back this time when the Star's Joel Rorseth sent a pass across to Cory Burns who scored the Star's first of the game. Despite strong goaltending by the Star's Wes Werner, he ended up facing over 50 shots on net before it was all done. The final period found the teams exchanging goals including Burn's second goal of the night off a great pass from Braeden Derksen. The Star's lost 7-2.
