Amherstburg Minor Hockey Association (AMHA) is organizing a series of Invitational hockey tournaments for the best teams in Ontario. Based upon the 2013-14 My Hockey Rankings, teams have been identified as a potential participants in one of our tournaments.
Why an Invitational tournament?
It would be nice to play equal caliber teams in one tournament. Many teams attend tournaments only to find they play a couple of “easier” games then eventually play an equal or better caliber team in the semi-finals or finals. With an elite 8 invitational tournament, your team will face competitive teams throughout the tournament.
Who is AMHA?
We are an OMHA base category “A” center located in Southwestern Ontario (20 min from Windsor) and we are heading into our fourth season in our new recreation facility. The facility boasts two NHL size ice surfaces, an indoor soccer field and a mini-rink for goaltender development. In 2013-14 season 7 of our 11 rep teams made the OMHA Quarter Finals and we produced three OMHA Champions (Novice, Bantam, and Midget) as well as two OHF Champions (Bantam and Midget).
