Dodge Caravan Light Blue, Novice House League, 2011-2012 (Amherstburg Minor Hockey Association)

After an impressive first place finish in the regular season that showed great offense, great defense, and excellent goaltending, the Novice Light Blue Stars entered the playoffs on the right foot. The competition is getting tighter and tighter each week, and all the kids are improving so much, it is truly great to see! It should be a great race to the finish. This week we faced the Burgandy Bombers, with great team work on both sides of the ice, we came out victorious. More impressive than the victory was the fact that 7 of our players had points.

Noah Duggan was selected for this weeks team representative, and took home the trophy for the team. Noah Duggan scored 3 goals on Friday night, and 4 goals and an assist on saturday morning, he also attempted many passes in front of the net which is something we are very impressed by. Keep up the great work Noah!

A great job by George Secem earned him the game puck friday night. George played a great defensive game, and saved multiple scoring chances from the danerous "Grey " team forwards. Great job George!

Light Blue had a tough weekend playing 2 games with 15 hours of each other. Great work to all players, we faced some tough opponents, but team work, and great positional play led us to 2 victories. Great job, see you all next week.

After a tight game last week against the dark blue team, with valiant efforts by all,  we are right back at it again. Brock Boyko, and Keaton Conaty have been representing the team excellent over the past 2 weeks, congratulations on great team work, and great focus. Good luck to the Light blue stars this week, as they face the grey team Friday night, and the burgundy team Saturday morning, should be exciting games, and after the game Saturday, a new team representative will be crowned.
