Stars Show Good Work Ethic at Practices
With no games scheduled for this past weekend, the Amherstburg Select 7 hockey team took the opportunity to focus on skill development and work ethic in 2 practices this past weekend

The Stars had back to back practices on Sunday and Monday this past weekend and head coach Sid Doe utilized the opportunity to have the team focus on puck handling, skating ability, speed, passing, defense and endurance.  The Stars ran through many skill testing drills both with and without the puck.

After the practice on Monday, coach Doe took a moment to address all the kids to let them know how proud he was of all of them for putting forth such a strong effort.

I think the coaching staff is doing a fantastic job in mixing in the right amount of hard drills and fun drills to keep the entire team well focused.  It is great to see how much fun all the kids are having both on and off the ice when they are together.

Next practice is scheduled for Sunday at 3pm and the next big game is set for Monday night at 5pm in Amherstburg against the Belle River Jr Canadiens.

Good luck team.
