The Stars enjoyed a well deserved Thanksgiving Day break after two impressive wins over Belle River and Chatham. The Stars rallied from a 2 goal deficit against Southpoint, escaping with a 2-2 tie, after scoring two late third period goals. The Stars followed the Capitals, with a dominating 3-1 performance at Belle River against the previously unbeaten Canadiennes. Chatham was up next, and unfortunately for the Maroons, they ran into a red-hot Amherstburg team who controlled the tempo of the game at both ends of the ice, resulting in an impressive 5-1 victory.

The Amherstburg Stars downed the LaSalles Sabres AE 4-0 Thursday night in a tune-up game prior to the road trip to Richmond Hill. The first tournament of the season began with the Stars on fire! The Stars struck early with 2 power play goals and followed up with a lopsided 5-1 victory over the favoured Vaughn Rangers. The lone Ranger goal came off a deflected shot late in the third period.

Amherstburg Stars opened the weekend with two exciting road wins. Friday night, the Stars downed the Erie Shores squad 2-1. The Stars goalie was stellar between the pipes, and the offense chipped in 2 timely goals, in a penalty plagued match.
