Pee Wee Majors Open With Two Wins!
The “new look” Amherstburg Stars opened the weekend with two exciting road wins. Friday night, the Stars downed the Erie Shores squad 2-1. The Stars goalie was stellar between the pipes, and the offense chipped in 2 timely goals, in a penalty plagued match.
The Stars followed up the next day with another 3-1 road win over the Riverside Rangers at the WFCU Centre, despite the commotion presented by the arrival of Elton John when he dropped by to view the third period. The defense was strong all day limiting Riverside’s scoring chances, and the offense was relentless around the net all contributing to our 3-1 victory.
The team and parents are excited to welcome Coach Jimmy Sonmez and look forward to our first tournament in Richmond Hill this weekend.
