What a game! Great Job Teal.
Firing on all cylinders, we played our best offensive game of the year. Leading the way with a hat trick was William, followed by Jacob with two. Other goals were from Adam, Dalton, Ty and Brendan. Great shooting guys! At the other end Spaghetti was hot in net, stopping all Blue shots for a shut-out. Great game Spencer! The team played with high intensity for the whole game, and it was nice to see everyone tired at the end of play. A very good effort all around. Like usual our defense was strong and stopped a lot of rushes by Blue. Good job, Nathan, Lexi, Josh and Matt.
Overall, Spencer Morse hustled so hard he looked like a rocket on the ice.
On the score sheet it was nice to see players getting assists with Lexi and Brendan leading the way with two each and singles going to Adam, William, Josh and Jacob. The coaches have been stressing the importance of passing all year and the players are getting used to moving the puck to each other, waiting in front of the opponents net for a pass and passing up the ice to their teammates. Let's keep it up. For the coaches, goals are great but assists are better! Well done everyone for a well deserved win!
Notes:
- Ty's father wants me to mention that on Dec. 26th at 11:00 they have rented the ice for an hour. TY has invited anyone on our team who wants to go. It wil be free skating [no equipment, except helmet]. There will be no coaches yelling at you, so we want you to come, have some fun and work off all those Holiday meals you will be having!
- Our Sunday practice is at 9:00 in Essex. {William will be in net}
- Next week's game will be at 7:00 against Maroon. {William in net}
