A loss is a good learning Lesson!
The Blue team outplayed us handily today and if it wasn't for Josh in net the score would have been much worse than 2-0. Very good goaltending today Josh! Defensively we played poor positioning, forcing our forwards to play out of position covering for the defense. As a result we could not get any offense going and did not test the blue goalie with many chances. Our record year to date does not indicate how closely matched the teams are and hopefully we have learned that we need to play our assigned positions and play as a team if we want to succeed. Let's shake off the last couple of games and get going like I know we can!
Other Items:
Hockey for Hospice starts on Dec. 27th at 11:00 at Kingsville Arena. You must bring your pledge sheets to the Kingsville arena and register before the first game. I recommend the players be there at 10:00 to ensure enough time to hand in pledge sheets and register.
Our second game is on the same day at 5:00 p.m. at the Vollmer center in Lasalle. [pad B].
Our third game is on Dec. 28th at 9:30 at the Amhersburg old arena. If we get enough points from winning and pledges, we will be in the playoff's on Dec. 29th, at the Amherstburg old arena [times dependent on how well we do at the tournament].
On January 2nd we have an optional practice [due to the four games we played Christmas week] at the new arena, rink A at 8:30.
The next league game will be on January 8th at 7:30 a.m. against Maroon. We will be playing in the new arena complex. Get your family out to see the new facility. It's incredible!!!! Josh will be in net, followed by Adam on Jan 15th. [Adam will practice in net on Jan. 9th].
