Strong finish to the Round Robin! Bring on Blue!
Great finish to the round-robbin portion of our playoffs. We start the next series against Blue. Today's game saw a lot of offense again, great defense and outstanding goaltending, by Josh. Josh was hot stopping shots with his pads, his glove and his body. Excellent game!
Our offensive lines played great positioning, passed real well and stayed in front of the orange goalie. Leading the way was Jacob with 4 goals, Nathan with 2, Bendan with 1 and Max with 1. Very impressive guys! The other forwards, Cameron, William, Adam, Keaton and Ty really played their positions well, started a lot of the plays and forechecked real strong in the Orange end. All around a great effort.
Our defense again stonewalled Orange at the blue line, passed the puck to wingers and cleared the net for Josh to see any shots coming his way! Another excellent game for Dalton, Lexi, Spencer, Spaghetti and Matt.
In practice we will continue to focus on one on one plays, passing and breakouts. The kids are following instructions very well, especially working on proper positioning and breaking out of our own end!
Other notes:
The schedule will change occasionally as we progress through the remaining playoff games. I will also send out reminders of any game changes.
Our practice will be at 10:30 on Sunday. [Josh in net]
Once the playoff schedule is set I will email everyone our next game time.
Remember to get the kids out to public skating or on the back yard rink to work on their skating, stamina and shooting.
