The kids played hard today but came up short 3-2. We had numerous scoring chances during the first period but the Blue Goalie stoned us. We got ahead two goals to one during the second period but Blue took over and put us away in the third. Our goal scorers today were Nate and Jacob. Nice going guys! Another solid game by Josh in net helped keep the game very close, but offensively we just didn't have a good shooting day. With our series tied 1-1 we have one more chance to beat blue and take on maroon for the finals. Today we saw some confusion with positions and lack of passing, particularly to open players in front of the Blue net! Let's remember to pass the puck to your teammates.
Other notes:
Due to the Select 7 tournament next weekend our next playoff game has been delayed. We expect it will be on either March 12th or 19th. Once I find out I will let all of you know.
Tomorrow's practice is at 10:30 [Rink A - William in net; Spaghetti can also play net if he wants to practice for next week]
Next Saturday's game time is still to be determined. We will be playing either Orange or Maroon. [Cam will be in net]. I will let you know with our weekly reminder. The kids will get more ice time as we will be missing Spaghetti, Jacob and Lexi.
