Solid effort ending in a loss 5-3.
Great game today team. We played the toughest team in our division and put forward a solid effort. Joe White, our goalie, played real well stopping most of the Burgundy team shots. Well done Joe. Our defense of Brayden, William, Max and Cam S. were really strong, in both offensive and defensive zones. The guys did a great job getting back when Burgundy was rushing down the ice. Good job boys! The forwards were also strong, having a lot of opportunities for scoring, but ran
into a solid goaltender. Nate and Carson played center and put in a special effort, playing every other shift as we were down a couple of players. The other forwards Adam, Ryan B, Justin, Rees, Ryan P and Cam W also put in a strong effort. The wingers did a good job back-checking and helping out our defense and goalie. The points were well spread out starting with goals by Carson (2) and Nathan. Assists went to Rees, Ryan B, Ryan P, Cam W, Adam and Justin. Good job boys! From a learning perspective remember forwards, to play your ice zones. You need to stay on your side of the ice and play in your defensive zone in our end, [between the hash marks and opposing defense]. In the offensive zone the wingers who do not have the puck, need to get in front of the net and get ready for the pass and shot.
