A tough fought game ending in a tie!
The final score was 6-6 against a much improved Grey team.  Our players battled really hard, had the lead most of the game, then traded the lead, and finally gave up a late goal for the tie.  Great effort overall team, a lot of hard work, much improved passing and strong offense again.  Joey made some great saves again for our team, stopping a very strong offense from Grey.

Another strong effort on offense.  William led the scoring with 3 goals and 1 assist.  The other goals went to Rees, Nathan and Carson.  Great job guys.  Defensively, Adam, Justin [who returned to forward during the game], Carson, Jacob and Ryan P held their own playing back for the first time this year. After getting the proper positioning figured out they played really well, especially in our own end, clearing the puck from the front of the net and getting back on Grey break outs.  A couple times we got caught with our defense up the offensive zone, but this is understandable for the guys who normally play forward.

On offense Brayden was great at forechecking and keeping Grey all tied up in the neutral zone [between the blue lines]. Rees' goal was real nice as he followed William on a break away and got the rebound. Excellent work Rees! Offensively we had many opportunities to score and improved our passing and positioning.  Well done to the other forwards Cam W, Max, Ryan B, Justin and Jacob S.   Today's game was exciting, fast paced and fun to watch.  Another very strong team effort.

From a learning perspective, I noticed players not passing the puck to the head man [furthest player up the ice]. Remember players to get that pass forward so we don't get caught offside or make the forward player have to stop or slow down.  We lose our momentum and give an opportunity for the other team to get back and stop us.

Other Notes:
